Rock 'n' Roll first started at the BAWA in the 80s with private functions and in the 90s we started running weekly rock 'n' roll events which we have done ever since.

There's a live band every Sunday, with the biggest names on the rock 'n' roll circuit coming to our venue. Entry is 6.50, pay on the door only. Membership costs are very reasonable and new members are always welcome. Now, more popular than it's ever been, attendances vary between 180 and 250 with people traveling from all over the South West.

The room has a fantastic sound and light system and a large wooden sprung dance floor. A massive car park with frequent security patrols mean visitors do not need to worry and can enjoy themselves. DJ-ing is spread between Rockin' John and Slim Reed - Not Before '54 Record Hop. The evening starts at 7.30. The band does two spots with music finishing at 11.00 and the night ending at 11.15.

On a Tuesday every week we run rock 'n' roll dance classes and record hop with a DJ. Entry is 3 with attendance generally around the 160 mark.

We have our own website at which shows all the bands booked to appear for the year, with an individual page on each band, plus weblinks to the bands own website.
